November 2, 2012 - Doctors

Doctors

We talked to dad's lead doctor today ... A recorded conference call of sorts ... He was on his cell phone. Mom and I had him on speaker on the home phone. I had Conrad and Christy on conference on my cell phone. And, as an added bonus I recorded the call using an app on my iPad. He brought us up to date on what all has been going on and we asked him questions, etc. Until we have the results back we can't make any decisions as to the best form of treatment for dad.
When we went to see dad today he looked a lot better. Good color, and he definitely was more alert. He was definitely showing his stubborn streak by not cooperating when the nurses would ask him to do things. When they reduce the sedation drugs (daily) they ask the patient to do certain commands like open their eyes, clinch their fists, wiggle their toes, etc. well, dad wouldn't cooperate. He did do what mom and I asked him to do, so it might have been the unfamiliar nurses that caused him to be that way. I will say ... His face lit up when Christy mentioned watching the Auburn football game tomorrow!
We have hope. We have faith. We have prayer. Speaking of prayer ... We greatly appreciate your prayers and concern.
